9 Strength Training Exercises to Improve Your Game and prevent Injuries

Strength training will not only help with prevention of injuries for both pickleball and tennis players, but it will also help improve your shot power and your endurance. Good exercises to incorporate into your strength training program for pickleball and tennis would include:

  1. Leg press or squats

  2. Lunges

  3. Chest Press or Push-ups

  4. Row 

  5. Shoulder Press 

  6. Wrist or forearm exercises

  7. Situps

  8. Plank

  9. Russian Twists

These exercises can be very beneficial for pickleball and tennis players. We recommend doing two sets of each exercise for 8-12 reps twice per week.
